Christmas around the world quiz

What’s included

• 20 questions with space to write each answer
• A separate answer sheet on page 2
• Name and score boxes
• 2 A4 pages, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

1. Split into teams and print one question sheet per team. The quizmaster keeps the answer sheet.
2. Read each question aloud, or let teams work through the sheet at their own pace for about 20 minutes.
3. Swap sheets between teams for marking while the quizmaster reads out the answers.
4. A point for each correct answer. Be generous with spellings of Caga Tió and Bûche de Noël!

Tips

• Put a world map on the table so teams can point to each country as the answers are read out.
• Serve a little food from around the world alongside: panettone, stollen or a chocolate log.
• For mixed ages, let children answer the Australia, Donald Duck and roller-skate questions.

Printing tips

• Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
• Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
• Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
• Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
