New Year’s Eve scavenger hunt

What’s included

• 16 challenges with tick boxes, worth 5 to 20 points each
• Team name and total boxes
• 1 A4 page, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

1. Split into teams of two to four and give each team a sheet and a pen.
2. Teams find or do each thing on the list and tick it off. Show the host for any you’re not sure about.
3. Stop at 11.45pm and add up the points.
4. Announce the winners just before the countdown.

Tips

• Agree which rooms are in the game before you start.
• Hide a few coins and some shortbread in advance to help things along.
• For a family evening, start at 7pm and finish before the little ones go to bed.

Printing tips

• Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
• Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
• Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
• Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
