New Year’s Eve predictions card for 2027

What’s included

• 16 prompts with space to write a name
• A name line
• 1 A4 page, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

1. Print one card per person and hand them out with pens some time before midnight.
2. Everyone fills in their predictions. Keep them secret, or read the funniest ones aloud.
3. Fold each card, put them all in one envelope, write “Open on New Year’s Eve 2027” on the front and seal it.
4. Next New Year’s Eve, open the envelope and read the cards out. Whoever got the most right wins bragging rights for the year.

Tips

• Give the envelope to the most organised person in the group, or tuck it in with the Christmas decorations so it turns up again in December.
• Children love this one: help younger ones write their answers and they’ll be amazed to read them back a year later.
• Take a photo of the cards before you seal them, just in case the envelope goes missing.

Printing tips

• Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
• Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
• Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
• Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
