What’s included

  • 16 prompts with space to write a name
  • A name line
  • 1 A4 page, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

  1. Print one sheet per person and hand out pens after Christmas dinner (or on Christmas Eve).
  2. Everyone writes one name for each prompt. You can vote for yourself, and nobody has to explain their votes.
  3. Go round the table reading out the answers to each prompt in turn.
  4. Whoever gets the most votes for a prompt has to own it. The person with the most votes overall wins the last chocolate.

Tips

  • Read the answers out in a dramatic voice: the reveals are the best part.
  • Younger children can play in a pair with a grown-up who helps with spelling.
  • Keep the sheets: they’re fun to look back on next Christmas.

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
  • Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
  • Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
  • Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
