What’s included

  • 16 challenges with tick boxes, worth 5 to 15 points each
  • Team name and total boxes
  • 1 A4 page, designed to print well in colour or black and white

How to play

  1. Print one sheet per child or team and hand out pencils.
  2. Agree which rooms are in the game and which are out of bounds.
  3. Children find each thing, show a grown-up and tick it off.
  4. Add up the points. The top team picks the next game, and everyone gets a sweet.

Tips

  • Pair non-readers with older children or a grown-up.
  • Set a timer for 15 minutes to keep things moving.
  • Ask children to put everything back afterwards (or make that part of the game!).

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”, so nothing gets trimmed.
  • Everything is A4. If your printer only takes US Letter, choose “Fit to page” instead.
  • Thicker paper (120–160gsm) feels nicer to write on and survives a night out; plain 80gsm is fine too.
  • Black and white works: the designs are made to stay clear without colour.
